Over the last 17 years, Jim has worked extensively with closely held businesses and their shareholders. Due to his bankruptcy and reorganization work, he has significant exposure to -- and expertise concerning -- the tax aspects of business reorganizations, sales, and liquidations, both in and out of bankruptcy.
Since 1997, Jim has performed tax consulting work for numerous large, multistate companies, typically in reorganization settings.
Jim also has experience representing clients before the IRS Collections Division and a wide array of state agencies for income, sales, payroll, and property tax controversies. He has worked closely with attorneys and other professionals, providing clients with solutions to complex tax matters relating to bankruptcy, divorce, and various other proceedings.
